Chatty Boy

Our Judah has had another language explosion this week, and is saying all sorts of things.  For readers who don't know, he was considered 'late' to talk, and sees a speech therapist once a week.  Mostly they just play games and climb through tunnels together, but whatevs...it gives me an hour off ;-P.

A few amusing tidbits he has spewed this week:

Post-bus look of glee
-He loves to share narrations about the goings-on of our upstairs neighbor/friend "N".  When he hears "N" walk around, he says silly things like "N say-s 'doh, doh, doh!' which is SO true!  He does say that occasionally, and it's funny to think Judah noticed.  Also, "N is huggy (hungry)!"  Me: "Oh?  What is N doing?" ...... "N poopin'."  Which makes total sense.  He heard him walking in the above bathroom.  Of COURSE he's poopin'.

Look of wonder
-Judah was all smiles when I said he'd be going on his first bus ride.  He was utterly silent but wide-eyed for the duration of the ride.  Upon exiting the bus he exclaimed, "Bye bus!  Bye bus!"  Me: "Judah, riding the bus is..."  Judah: "FUN!"
-I will never forget his first clear as a bell 3 word sentence, which was about a month ago.  On his way to the boy breakfast (mom sleeps in a few extra minutes) he stopped in my room to inform me that "Wyatts eatin' cereal."  It's pretty basic, but was exciting for a mom whose been longing for this kid to communicate more.
-Now his first messy 3 word sentence was quite awhile ago, and was simply "Judah fall (dropped) boo (binky)."  He then proceeded to melt down at the sight of his beloved boo on the floor, that he had very intentionally dropped in hopes that mommy would stop nursing Wyatt to read him a book.
-Today: "Wow!  That's a big ball!  Get it!"  Upon getting it and another: "6!  9!"  He's pretending to count.  It's so cute.
-My favorite is the singing.  I'll sing a phrase from a familiar song, and he'll finish it for me.  Sometimes softly and sometimes boldly.  It's so sweet, and half the time he's matching the pitch.  Me: "Left and right, day and..."  J: "Right."  Me: "NIGHT.  That's what makes the world go..."  J: "Round."  Me: "In and out, thin and..."  J: "STOUT." - - He has no idea what it means, but it's so cute.
-He's singing his abc's, start to finish, with a little bit of letter repetition throughout ;-P
-Tonight our friend had a new/unused kitty litter box.  Judah pulled out a tray to investigate at which time she explained that it was for poop.  J: "CAT POOP!"  He proceeded to play with that tray for the rest of the night, as well as try to coax the cat to poop in it.  Nice.
