We have vowed that this would not be our LAST camping trip as a group, but it definately felt like the last one at times. We've been going camping with the same group of college friends since we were all newlyweds...oh, nope. Before that even. The first engagement happened on the first camping trip. Amazing. Gosh I love my Chicago friends.
Lonnie gave an epic speech at the campfire on Saturday night, and made sure to lightly insult and also praise every person there. There was laughter, there were tears... I think he's cute when he gets all speechy-like.
5 babies (+2 on Saturday night provided by the Mayers) were present on this trip. They all had their moments, but overall did fine. Wyatt was a hot mess on Friday, but pretty happy on Saturday. Judah did great, and was especially cute when he fell asleep at the campfire and laid in Auntie Kamie's arms, Auntie Sarah's, and Mommy's too. I also recieved my first lovely bouquet of fresh-picked flowers from him, thanks to Auntie Maria's mentoring.
